The AeroBurner driver has an advanced aerodynamic shaped head and lightweight design created for golfers to gain more club head speed. The new and improved Speed Pocket increases the size of the sweet spot and reduces spin to maximize distance.
The R15 driver features a Front Track with two split weights so golfers can adjust for their desired ball flight. This driver features a lower and more forward center of gravity to promote higher launch and lower spin. The weights can be moved to the center for max distance, the heel for max draw, the toe for max fade, or split for max stability.
TaylorMade states that only their greatest breakthroughs are worthy of being called an R.
So if your goal is to hit it stupid long and you don’t need the adjustibility (aka you are Dustin Johnson), I would recommend the R15. The ability to adjust the driver makes the R15 the winner in my book.
However, both are great drivers and are sure improve your game.
Until next time, drive for show!... I think I need a new tagline...
